The Section of Individual Rights and Responsibilities of the American Bar Association created the Death Penalty Due Process Review Project. From 2003 to 2007, the Project undertook and issued its first series of assessments on the administration of capital punishment in eight U.S. states: Alabama, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Indiana, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Tennessee. More recently, it has released its assessments of Kentucky, Missouri, Virginia and Texas. More information on this project is available on the American Bar Associations' web page.
