Access to the secure portion of the Habeas Assistance and Training Project is generally limited to members of defense teams with pending capital § 2254 cases. Please fill out the requested information, including a list of pending and prior capital habeas cases. Please be sure to include the name of the petitioner as well as the court in which the case was or is pending. If you do not have a current capital habeas case, please provide an explanation of your connection to the defense of capital cases and why you are interested in access to the secure portion of Habeas Assistance and Training Project.
Once you have completed the application, it will be submitted for approval. If approved, you will receive an automated email with your username. The email will also contain a link which will allow you to create your own password. Once this has been completed, your account will be activated.
